District Attorney Daniella Shorter Levy announces the conviction of ALEXIS BROWN.
On February 17, 2026, Alexis Brown appeared before the Honorable Judge Tomika H. Irving in Hazlehurst, MS, and pled guilty to Computer Fraud.
Judge Irving sentenced Defendant Brown to Three (3) years in the District Attorney’s
Pretrial Intervention Program. Brown is ordered to pay Three Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars ($3,600) in administrative fees, One Hundred Dollars investigative cost to the District Attorney’s Office, Four Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($427.50) in Court Cost, and Restitution to the victim, Joyce Coleman, in the amount of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000).
Between February 2023 and May 2024, Defendant Brown used “Cash App” to defraud
victim, Joyce Coleman, in the amount of $2,986.26 via multiple transactions. Defendant Brown was in a position of trust when the crime was committed.
