District Attorney Daniella Shorter Levy announces the conviction of CHARLES TILLMAN, JR. for Failure to Stop When an Officer Signals (Felony Fleeing).
On June 23, 2025, Charles Tillman, Jr. appeared before the honorable Judge Tomika H. Irving in Copiah County Circuit Court and plead guilty to the aforementioned charge. Judge Irving withheld acceptance of the plea of guilty to said charge. Mr. Tillman has been placed in the District Attorney’s Pretrial Intervention Program for a period of three (3) years.
If he fails to complete the Pretrial Intervention Program, Tillman faces up to Ten (10) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Tillman was ordered to pay restitution to the Copiah County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), Three Thousand and Six Hundred Dollars ($3,600.00) to the District Attorney's Office for administrative fees, Court costs in the amount of Four Hundred and Twenty Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($427.50), and a bond fee in the amount of One Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($160.00).
