District Attorney Daniella M. Shorter Announces Investigator Lofton’s Graduation from FBI Mississippi Law Enforcement Command College



District Attorney Daniella M. Shorter proudly announces that Investigator Markeitz L. Lofton has successfully completed the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Mississippi Law Enforcement Command College.


The program, held in Oxford, Mississippi, from July 15–18, 2025, was sponsored by the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police (MACP) in partnership with the FBI Jackson Division. The Command College provides advanced leadership and management training for law enforcement professionals across the state.


During the intensive 40-hour program, Investigator Lofton received advanced instruction in leadership strategies, critical incident management, ethics in policing, interagency cooperation, and innovative approaches to modern law enforcement challenges. This prestigious program is designed to prepare command-level officers for greater leadership roles within their agencies.


District Attorney Shorter-Levy praised Lofton’s accomplishment, stating:

“Investigator Lofton’s completion of the FBI Command College demonstrates his commitment to excellence and leadership in law enforcement. His dedication and advanced training will directly benefit the citizens of our district.”
