District Attorney Daniella Shorter-Levy announces the conviction of Jeffery McGee for Statutory Rape and 3 Counts of Sexual Battery.


On August 18, 2025, Jeffery McGee appeared before the Honorable Judge Tomika H. Irving in Copiah County Circuit Court and plead guilty to the aforementioned charges. Judge Irving sentenced Defendant McGee to serve Thirty (30) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), with Fifteen (15) of those years suspended, and Fifteen (15) Years to serve on all charges.


Upon release Defendant McGee is required to register as a sex offender and pay court cost in the amount of Four Hundred and Fifty-Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($457.50), One Hundred & Fifty Dollars ($150.00) Investigative Fee to the District Attorney’s Office, One Hundred & Fifty Dollars ($150.00)to the Crime Victim’s Compensation Fund and a bond fee as ordered by the Court.
