District Attorney Daniella Shorter Levy announces the conviction of JERMAINE WILSON for Aggravated Assault-Domestic Violence.
On September 22, 2025, Jermaine Wilson appeared before the Honorable Judge Tomika H. Irving in Hazlehurst, MS and pled guilty. Judge Irving sentenced Defendant Wilson to Twenty (20) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) with 10 years suspended and 10 years to serve in custody for Aggravated Assault. Upon release from these charges Defendant Wilson will serve Five (5) years of supervised probation. Defendant Wilson is also required to pay court costs in the amount of Four Hundred and Twenty-Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($427.50) and a bond fee as ordered by the Court.
On June 17, 2023, officers arrived at 51 Poorhouse Road, Fayette, MS to find that Idriana Wilson had been shot three times--once in upper thigh, once in the chest, and once in the stomach by Defendant Wilson. After shooting Idriana, Jermaine Wilson then shot himself in the face. These violent acts offended the peace and dignity of the citizens of Mississippi. It is the mission of District Attorney Shorter Levy to work diligently in making sure that brutal acts of violence are not ignored.
