District Attorney Daniella M. Shorter announces the conviction of JOKEITHA SNYDER for Malicious Mischief.
On May 12, 2025, Jokeitha Snyder appeared before the honorable Judge Tomika H. Irving in Jefferson County Circuit Court and plead guilty to the aforementioned charge. Judge Irving withheld acceptance of the plea of guilty to said charge. Ms. Snyder has been placed in the District Attorney’s Pretrial Intervention Program for a period of three (3) years.
If she fails to complete the Pretrial Intervention Program, Snyder’s faces up to Ten (10) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Snyder was ordered to pay restitution to Lavextriuna Watts in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), Three Thousand and Six Hundred Dollars ($3,600.00) to the District Attorney's Office for administrative fees, Court costs in the amount of Four Hundred and Twenty Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($427.50), and a bond fee in the amount of Three Hundred and Ten Dollars ($310.00).
