District Attorney Daniella Shorter-Levy announces the conviction of JOSTIN OYOLA for Simple Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.
On June 23, 2025, Jostin Oyola appeared before the Honorable Judge Tomika H. Irving in Copiah County Circuit Court and plead guilty to the aforementioned charge. Judge Irving sentenced Defendant Oyola to Two (2) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), with Two (2) of those years suspended and Two (2) years of supervised probation.
Defendant Oyola is required to pay court cost in the amount of Four Hundred and Twenty-Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($427.50), and a bond fee as ordered by the Court.
