District Attorney Daniella Shorter-Levy announces the conviction of SAMARIO GOODS for Possession of a Controlled Substance w/ Intent to Distribute.
On August 4, 2025, Samario Goods appeared before the Honorable Judge Tomika H. Irving in Claiborne County Circuit Court and pleaded guilty to the aforementioned charge. Judge Irving sentenced Defendant Goods to serve Five (5) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC). Upon release, Defendant Goods is required to pay court costs in the amount of Four Hundred and Fifty-Four Dollars and Fifty Cents ($454.50), and a bond fee as ordered by the Court.
On October 17, 2024, a Port Gibson Police Department officer arrived at 417 McComb Avenue Apt. 21C to serve a previously filed domestic abuse warrant on Defendant Goods. Upon arrival, to execute the warrant, the officer knocked on the door of the residence while identifying himself. Defendant Goods yelled for the officer to come into the residence. Upon entry, the officer observed Defendant Goods lying in the middle of the living area on an air mattress surrounded by over 278 grams of marijuana in two jars, a firearm, and Two Thousand Six Hundred and Fifteen Dollars ($2,615.00).
Additionally, at the time of Defendant Goods' arrest, he was on probation for Accessory After the Fact to Drive by Shooting and Accessory After the Fact to Aggravated Assault. Defendant Goods probation for these offenses was revoked by the Court prior to this conviction.
