On July 12, 2023, at approximately 11:53 p.m. officers received a call from employees of the Claiborne County Medical Center that a deceased person, 24-year-old Keairis Ford, was dropped off by Tyrone Goldsberry and his live-in girlfriend, Tanaysheous Ford.
Through investigation authorities discovered that Keairis Ford, the older sister of
Tanaysheous Ford, was beat to death over a period of weeks. The injuries included bruises and thermal burns over the entirety of her body.
Keairis Ford, a vulnerable adult from Texas, was visiting her younger sister in the Port Gibson, MS as Tanaysheous Ford had recently given birth. Police found video evidence of Goldsberry and Crystian’s physical and verbal abuse of Keairis Ford.
The District Attorney’s Office is appalled and disgusted with the actions of anyone that seeks to harm its vulnerable population. The true measure of a society is in how its treats its young and disabled citizens. District Attorney Levy is committed to making sure our citizens, regardless of physical and mental capabilities receive justice.
